I stayed on the 12th floor, but there was still a load of street noise, so it might help if you go higher up. There are a load of great bars and restaurants within walking distance, and there's a great shopping centre about 10 minutes walk away. The staff's English skills weren't fantastic throughout - which I understood, but if I contacted a member of staff and they didn't understand me, they seemed to just panic and smile a bit pathetically instead of finding someone who would be able to help me. There's a good, small gym for guests to use on the ground floor.

The free wifi's good - breakfast was basic, but had a good selection of fruit, coffee and pastries. The rooms were basic, but clean and had everything you would need for a few nights good bathroom, independent a/c, comfortable bed - the usual, although it is a bit of an MDF festival. The lift was incredibly confusing, and was trying to be a bit too modern for its own good. Check in was a breeze - a little complicated but there were 9 of us. My past experience of this hotel chain has always been pretty dated, cold and pretentious - so was incredibly relieved when we arrived (after a pretty long drive from the airport) to find a really fresh, clean and modern hotel in the city centre. I stayed here for 2 nights while working in Belo Horizonte.
